Usage and calculation basis
Use the calculator for your award. The illustrative example is a worked example with fictional units (and fictional prices only if live prices are unavailable).
Enter total units under "Individual stock-price-based units". The base grant price starts at $20.40. Fractions are 50%, 25%, and 25% of the original grant.
The ten session dates and official MD closes fill in automatically; you can override any date or price. The average is kept at full precision.
Gross payout = units paid × average closing price. Appreciation = average minus base grant price.
Original grant value = all units × base price. Original 50% value = November units × base price.
Gain / (loss) = gross payout minus original value of the units paid. A price below $20.40 produces a loss.
Basis: full-value phantom units as requested. No appreciation-only payout, price floor, withholding, or fees assumed (the optional tax section is a separate rough estimate).
February payment dates are user-confirmed. The ten-session averaging method remains an assumption to confirm.
Units retain fractions. Dollar results display cents without intermediate rounding. Confirm plan-specific rounding.
Calendar dates are scheduled sessions. Recheck for exceptional closures before relying on final prices.
Enter official regular-session closing prices, not adjusted closes. Automatic prices are regular-session closes from Yahoo Finance; verify against an official source.
Average and payout stay blank until all ten rows are complete. Rows using the latest close as a stand-in are marked Estimate, and results are labeled Projected until all ten actual closes exist.
November 11 is Veterans Day. NYSE equities are scheduled open. Exclude November 11 itself. Bank holidays differ from trading holidays. No market holiday is scheduled within the November ten-session window.
February windows exclude weekends and Presidents Day (02/15/27 and 02/21/28). Row checks reject weekends, holidays, and duplicate or unordered dates. Edited dates require a calendar recheck.
Assumption: full unit value using the ten-session average. Gross amounts exclude withholding and fees.
Source for grant terms: user-provided inputs and schedule. No award agreement was independently reviewed.
Box plots: whiskers span the day's regular-session low and high; the box spans the 25th–75th percentile of that day's 5-minute prices with a median mark. Where intraday data is no longer available, the box spans the day's open to close.
